What's the Best Custom Domain Name for You?

Updated this week

Using a custom domain is one of the smartest moves you can make as a creator or agency.

But you don’t need a new domain for every account or every link.

Here’s how to choose and use your domain effectively — while keeping things simple, scalable, and high-performing.

For Creators: Use One Domain, Multiple Links

You only need ONE custom domain. That’s it.

Example: louisaoliver.com or louisa.link or louisaoliver.co

Then create as many profiles as you want using URL slugs:

  • louisaoliver.com

  • louisaoliver.com/ig

  • louisaoliver.com/tiktok

  • louisaoliver.com/backup

  • louisaoliver.com/private

Why it works:

  • You stay on-brand and in control

  • You can track every link individually

  • You reduce cost: one domain, unlimited links

Pro tip:

Use short domain extensions like .me, .co, .link, .fans, or .io — they’re cheaper and cleaner in bios.

For Agencies: One Domain for Your Whole Roster

You don’t need to buy 100 domains for 100 creators.

Buy ONE branded domain like: clikk.me or mypage.link

Then create links for each creator or account:

  • clikk.me/alexaxo

    • clikk.me/alexaxoxo

    • clikk.me/alexaxo1

    • clikk.me/alexaxox

  • clikk.me/nastya

  • clikk.me/juliaxo

  • clikk.me/backup1

Why it works for agencies:

  • You maintain full control over all links

  • Easy to scale with dozens or hundreds of profiles

  • Clean, professional look that fits in a bio

Avoid long or complicated domain names.

Aim for 10–12 characters max to look good on mobile and social platforms.

One domain vs. multiple? It depends.

If you're managing 100+ creators, you can choose to buy more than one domain. It depends on your scale, your preference, and how you want to segment your traffic.

That said, for most agencies, it's simpler and more efficient to use one domain across all your models.

Why? You won't generate huge traffic per slug

Every slug is unique and individually trackable

Example: clikk.me/alexaxo, clikk.me/alexaxo1, clikk.me/alexaxo2, etc. — if you're just incrementing numbers, yes, platforms could track patterns over time.

But: if you use varied names, include niche keywords, or differentiate slugs per strategy, you significantly reduce that risk.

In short:

  • 1 domain = fine for dozens (even hundreds) of models

  • If you're at very large scale (100+ creators), you might consider 3-5 domains

  • The key is how smartly you name your links, not how many domains you own
