If your account is no longer being recommended and you are getting the exact warning below, it’s often because your link in your bio has been flagged by Instagram’s algorithm.
This doesn’t mean your account is banned, it simply means your trust score has dropped.
Let’s fix that 👇
⚠️ Why this happens?
Instagram tracks every link added to a bio.
If a domain or subpage is associated with:
multiple accounts,
high redirection rates,
risky / spicy link in the landing page,
reports from users,
… it may be flagged as low trust.
When that happens, Instagram can:
hide your profile from recommendations,
limit your reach,
or silently reduce visibility across the platform.
This is not always because of the link alone, it can also be part of a broader reputation issue (content, keywords, engagement, etc.).
But the link is the easiest element to reset.
✅ How to fix it?
Here’s the clean, effective process to refresh your bio and link reputation:
Remove your link from your Instagram bio.
→ Go to your profile → Edit Profile → delete the link field.
Change your link username.
→ Example: if your link was gaml.io/username, change it to something new like gaml.io/newusername.
This creates a fresh URL that isn’t associated with past flags.
Activate Shield Protection.
→ Go to your GetAllMyLinks link setting and enable Shield Protection to secure your link and reduce the risk of future blocks.
Add your new link back to your bio.
→ Copy your new URL and paste it into your Instagram bio.
That’s it.
This process resets your link identity and refreshes the trust signals that Instagram uses to evaluate bios.
💡 Additional notes
Depending on your setup, here’s what to do:
🔗 If you’re using gaml.io
You only need to change your username.
Your new link will have a clean reputation instantly.
🌐 If you’re using a custom domain
If the domain has never been used before, you’re fine.
If you’ve already used it as yourdomain.com/username, so with a username, you can simply change the username to a new one.
If you’ve already used it as yourdomain.com without any username, it’s been flagged, it’s better to buy a new domain and reconnect it.
A flagged domain can continue to hurt your visibility even if you change the username.
🔒 Pro tip
After resetting your link:
Keep only one clean link in your bio (no shortened, redirected, or masked URLs).
Avoid adding or changing your link too frequently.
Post authentic, engaging content for a few days to rebuild account trust.
Within 7–14 days, your account visibility usually improves once the flag clears.
