Why am I redirected to the safe page instead of the landing page?
Updated this week

If you’re redirected to the safe page instead of the final destination, it means you are flagged as a potentially harmful entity. On average, only 7% of total traffic using shield protection is filtered to the safe page, while the rest goes directly to the final destination URL.

Here are common reasons why you might land on the safe page:

  1. VPN & Proxies: The most frequent reason is using a VPN or proxy. Shield protection filters these IP addresses and redirects them to the safe page.

  2. Spamming: If you’ve clicked multiple times within a short period (a few minutes), you may be filtered to the safe page for security reasons, as this behavior is flagged as bot-like activity.

  3. Bad IP: Even if you’re not using a VPN or proxy, your IP might be classified as a bad entity, leading to a redirect to the safe page.

  4. Browser Issues: Though rare, your browser can occasionally cause a redirect to the safe page.

Rest assured, the majority of your traffic (over 93% on average) will be directed straight to your final destination URL. The remaining portion typically consists of a mix of bots, flagged IPs (bad entities), and moderators.
