How can I get my Instagram account unshadowbanned / unbanned?

Unbanned:

  • Suspended Accounts (Eligible for Appeal): If your account is suspended, you can appeal. However, if the suspension is due to sexual content, appeals are unlikely to succeed, and the account will likely be banned permanently. In such cases, unbanning can be costly. It’s often safer and more effective to hire someone experienced to handle the appeal for you.

  • Permanently Banned Accounts: If your account is permanently banned, you’ll need to hire someone to assist with the unban process. However, you must know the reason for the ban to avoid being re-banned shortly after. For instance, you could pay to get unbanned only to find your account banned again within two weeks.

Unshadowbanned:

Unshadowbanning works differently. Here’s what to do:

  1. Check Your Account Status: Open the Instagram app, go to Settings > Activity, and scroll down to Account Status. If the status is not all green, it indicates an issue. A shadowban often corresponds to an orange status under “What can’t be recommended” or “Content lowered in feed.” The most common reason is related to the first issue.

  2. Fix the Issue:

    1. Delete any content flagged by Instagram under the recommendations. Do not appeal.

    2. Change your profile picture, update your bio, and remove your link-in-bio for 2 to 7 days.

    3. After this period, re-add your link-in-bio. If the status is still not green, repeat these steps and change your username. Wait another 2 to 7 days.
